Key Facts

AC Humanitarians for Change serve as the social outreach and social justice branch of Campus Ministry. The organization’s motto is "People Helping People". Members give back to their community and try to save the world one step at a time. Anyone who wants to make a difference is welcome! Here, at AC, Humanitarians hold fundraisers throughout the year to benefit various charities in addition to raising the money needed to participate in the Urban Challenge immersion program at the Romero Center in Camden, NJ. This program offers students the opportunity to learn about Catholic social teaching and to work side by side with some of the poorest members of American society. Humanitarians also volunteer in the local community and participate in activities such as the ACS Relay for Life, work shifts at the Greater Boston Food Bank, serve meals at Rosie’s Place, and host clothing drives. Finally, Humanitarians maintain the school's recycling program by emptying recycling bins from classrooms and office spaces.
